ONIPA‘A: HERITAGE KEEPERS
A Sexual Risk Avoidance Weekend

High schoolers, this weekend is for you! Join us for a powerful time as we discover what it means to stand firm in Christ and walk confidently in your God-given identity, even in the midst of temptation.

📅 Date & Time: Friday, Oct 3 at 6:00 PM – Saturday, Oct 4 at 1:00 PM
🎯 Who: High School Students Only
💵 Cost: $25 (covers meals)
🛏 Sleepover: Permission form required

Goal of ʻOnipaʻa

  • Equip youth to stay paʻa (steadfast) despite ongoing sexual ‘oni (temptation)

  • Promote optimal sexual health and overall well-being

What You’ll Learn

  • Personal values, goals, and dreams

  • Healthy family formation, including the reproductive system, conception, fetal development, and birth

  • Benefits of delaying sexual activity until a lifelong, loving relationship such as marriage

  • Building healthy relationships

  • Facts about STDs

  • Understanding love, lust, and infatuation

  • The S.A.F.E. plan and refusal skills

Why ʻOnipaʻa Matters

  • Reduced risk of poverty, STDs, emotional damage, unplanned pregnancy, and trafficking

  • Increased holistic health and stronger, more vibrant ʻohana, generations, communities, and lāhui (nation)
